Descriptions

The Goshen Rim Ranch is a 25,377 +/ acre combination of the Canyon View and Deer Haven Ranches located in Goshen County offered at a reduced price per acre. Approximately 200 acres of this property are located in Platte county. This is one of the largest working cattle ranches currently available on the market in Wyoming. This incredible property is topographically diverse from the steep, rugged canyons to the scenic pine, cedar, cottonwood, mountain mahogany, and juniper tree covered meadows. The ranch is watered by many year round natural springs, developed springs and well providing natural habitat for trophy mule deer, antelope, migrating elk, upland birds and numerous other wildlife species. It is ideally suited for a family sized commercial operation, close to the Torrington livestock terminals in the favorable climate of the upper panhandle of the Wyoming and Nebraska Sand Hill Country. The Goshen Rim Ranch is a low overhead grass ranch with a variety of native and improved hard grass species high in protein yielding excellent gains on cattle. The ranch is cross fenced into approximately twenty pastures for flexible management and efficient grazing rotation to maximize the utilization of grass. All fences are in good condition. The many draws, ravines, hills, springs, and spring creeks provide an abundance of natural protection and forage for livestock and wildlife. The box canyons on the ranch are better protection that if the ranch had multiple calving barns scattered throughout the ranch. Many of the draws along the Goshen Rim have chokecherry bushes and wild grapes. All wells have been converted to solar wells to of the wells feed supply tanks. Ten tanks run off other solar wells. Seven tanks are on a natural, but developed, spring pipeline system and two tanks are on individual developed springs. The deepest well on top of the rim is approximately 164. The ranch has an estimated carrying capacity of approximately 1,000 1,200 cow/calf pairs with a bull to cow ratio of 1 bull for 25 cows.
