There is good calving protection and cover for cattle in the winter, plentiful feed and water. The ranch also boasts a feedyard with 625 feet of concrete bunk space with well built pipe pens and automatic waterers. The working, sorting and loading facilities are also very well built facilities of drill stem pipe.
Water/Mineral Rights & Natural Resources

Region & Climate
Wheatland is considered the banana belt of Wyoming with its mild winters. The area receives around 14 inches of precipitation annually. Summers are warm. Wheatland is the county seat of Platte County and has a regional airport, golf course, numerous gas stations and restaurants, a museum, fair and rodeo grounds, hardware and farm stores, churches and schools, auto dealerships, groceries, and numerous other businesses. History
The ranch was once a part of the famous Duck Bar Ranch owned by Teschemacher and de Billier Cattle Company in the 1880s. Teddy Roosevelt was a minority stakeholder in the cattle empire and likely visited the ranch. In the 1950s through the 1990s the ranch was a part of the famed Van Forell Hereford Company. The ranch, because of its water rights and resources has an extensive history with famed ranches over the years.
Location
Historic Lower Laramie River Ranch is located approximately 5 miles north of Wheatland along North Wheatland Highway (Wyoming 320). The ranch is 75 miles north of Cheyenne Wyoming and about 55 miles south of Douglas, Wyoming. Near Interstate 25, the ranch has great access to the Rocky Mountains, Wyomings major front range towns, Denver and the Colorado front range. Located due west is the Laramie Range and and Laramie Peak and the famous Area 7 elk hunting area, where trophy bulls are commonplace.
