Welcome to the picturesque Columbia Gorge Cattle Ranch, boasting some of Klickitat Countys most scenic views. Overlooking the majestic Columbia River and the mouth of the Deschutes River, this historic ranch spans an impressive range of elevations from 700 feet to over 2,900 feet. With a rich family history dating back to 1874, the ranch has been cherished and maintained by the same family for generations.

Comprised of 3,029 acres of deeded land, 241 acres of leased State land, 873 acres of Native American land, and 360 acres of Forest Service Land (leased at a cost of $1,200 per year), this expansive property offers a diverse landscape to explore and enjoy.

The ranch is well-equipped for calving on the south side, featuring two covered sheds. Thanks to its elevation, it sustains a healthy carrying capacity of 250 to 275 Animal Units (AUs) from March to mid-August in most years. Fenced and cross-fenced, the property owners recently invested $250,000 in new fencing on the north side, ensuring its functionality and security.

Abundant water sources, including year-round springs, ponds, and spring-fed stock tanks, dot the ranch, guaranteeing an ample water supply throughout the year.

The centerpiece of the property is the timeless ranch house, standing strong since its construction in 1911. With its charming stone exterior, the farmhouse retains many of its original features, capturing the essence of the era. A welcoming covered front porch with a beadboard ceiling leads into a large dining room, perfect for gatherings and cozying up by the wood stove in winter. The kitchen boasts modern appliances while preserving original built-ins, and a spacious island offers both seating and cooking space.
