Named for the large cypress trees that dot the area, King Cypress is located in Monroe and Phillips Counties in the southeast part of Arkansas. This acreage is close to the towns of Lambrook, St. Charles, Elaine and Marvell. The land consists of two Tracts: (Tract I) 342 acres of Farmland and (Tract II) 122 acres of woods and wetlands, altogether totaling 464 acres.

The Farmland consists of mostly Sharkey silty clay (Sb) with Dundee silt loam (Dd) and Tunica silty loam soils. The farm has had extensive land forming on the entire acreage with four 4 wells, 3 risers. Additionally, there are relift possibilities from the adjoining barpits. Irrigation is surface flood or down the row with good ground water levels that are static between 4 and 25 feet below ground level. Drainage is good with gated pipes to hold water in place. Crops grown are rice, soybeans, grain sorghum, corn and winter wheat, with a good grain prices nearby. The farm has a tenant, whose cash lease renews yearly in March. It is adjacent to both Big Creek and the White River Waterfowl Refuge (WRWR). It has good development possibilities for hunting and resting waterfowl, to be combined with the hunting lease on Tract II.
Woods, buckbrush and water make up all the property between the levee and farm that was excavated for the construction of the back water levee by the District years ago. It is adjacent to both Big Creek and the White River Waterfowl Refuge (WRWR) and is home to all forms of aquatic life, fish and game associated with the region. This Tract has good access from the levee. It also has a good zip code, which it shares with many hunting clubs and guide services in the area with similar hunting potential. This is in part because of proximity to the White River Waterfowl Refuges (WRWR) South Unit. With limited access, it is a hunting and fishing destination and a national treasure. This Tract has a cash hunting lease tenant, whose lease renews yearly in July.
