Get away from it all and experience Alaska on this raw and remote parcel of land steeped in the heart of some of Alaskas earliest gold rush-rich history in the Yukon. The first gold in the state was discovered in the Fortymile gold district about ten years before the Klondike gold rush began. Mining has been ongoing for over a century, with large-scale and small-scale operations. The area is still considered a productive gold mining area with several active mines and prospecting operations.

The property is located on the west side of Taylor Highway near the west fork campground trailhead, about 45 minutes from the town of Tok. Located 22 miles off Taylor Highway in an area known to locals as Mitchels Ranch, the property can be accessed by ATVs or snowmobiles. Potential exists to put in an airstrip and build your cabin from the timber on the land. Use it as your own personal hideaway or as a guide property.

The Fortymile gold district is also known for its beautiful wilderness and abundant wildlife. It is home to various big game animals, including massive Alaska-Yukon Moose, caribou, black and grizzly bears, wolves, lynx, and some of the largest porcupines you may ever see. Enjoy fishing in the nearby lakes and streams for grayling, sheefish, burbot, and white fish. Forage the land for cranberries, blueberries, and mushrooms or build a wilderness cabin and pan for gold.
